The party really kicks off in here after midnight and if you want to visit the Reggae Pub before 10pm, it will be almost empty!

Soi Solo

Soi Solo

Sleek, uber cool and playing great music, there is not much not to like about Bar Solo. A good place to start your evening, make sure you take advantage of their half price cocktails from 2pm to 8pm.

Soi Solo – Koh Samui

As it starts to get later, Bar Solo gets much livelier with DJ’s playing a range of funky house and ambient chill out tunes. Chaweng Stadium Event Center, at the other end, is also a big draw (particularly on a fight night).

Located a few hundred metres away from the more renowned Lamai Central Plaza, it consists of dozens of bars along two interconnected streets, all competing for the chance to make your night. This place is forever reinventing itself to keep up with the latest trends, so whenever you visit the place the chances are you will see something new. Part of this reinvention is what helps to make Fusion so popular, along with its two brilliant residents DJ’s who normally play an eclectic mix of acid jazz, funky house and hip hop. Inside, Fusion has a large dance floor and a stylish, yet comfortable seating area. Open until late, the party here can often go on until the early hours.

Shamrock Irish Pub

Another one of Lamai’s popular Irish pubs, Shamrock’s is a firm favourite with expats and tourists alike. A great place for watching live Premiership football, Shamrock’s has live rock music 6 nights a week and a good selection of traditional Irish beers.

There is certainly plenty of craic to be had here and if you are looking for a quiet night out you might want to go elsewhere, as things can get a little bit lively later on at night. Shamrocks also serve reasonable pub grub and has a couple of good quality poll tables to keep you occupied.
