It is a three level authentic Bali top five markets having fabric, clothing, and homeware.  There are also food and vegetable vendors with birds and aquarium suppliers.  You can cheap shoes and Bali decoration items for your house. Language can be a problem here so learn some Balinese words.

Ubud Art Market

The Ubud Art Market, referred to by locals as ‘Pasar Seni Ubud‘ is an artisan/handicraft/tourist market in the center of Ubud Town. There are two main areas of Ubud’s traditional art market, western and eastern regions. On the west, part of the art market is a place to get merchandise and Balinese painting. The east part of the market is selling daily needs such as sugar, raw eggs, coffee, tea, and rice.

Spend some time here, as it is a big place to explore. There is lot quality and price difference in products so see all and then buy.

A parking lot to a bustling food market!

Gianyar Night Market

Bali Top Five Markets list is incomplete with a street food market. A parking lot in the day and a bustling food market in the night, Gianyar Night Market is where locals go to eat. It is a half an hour ride from Ubud. The best time to visit is just after sunset. The dishes here are no more than Rs.60-150. Vegetarian dishes are there but it is a paradise for non-veg dishes. Try there roast pig, sweet cakes, chicken and coconut balls, fried bananas, and tempeh and tofu.

The main specialties for you to try out are the ‘Babi Guling’, ‘Bakso’, ‘Nasi Jingo’ and ‘Jaje Pasar’.

Sukawati Art Market

Locally known as ‘Pasar Seni Sukawati’, it is the perfect place for visitors to find distinctively Balinese artworks, handicrafts, sculptures and other traditional handcrafted items.

Visitors will generally find a selection of framed paintings, handmade bags, accessories, wooden figurines, traditional kites, clothing and ceremonial items, all at hard-to-beat prices. On the ground floor, you will find stalls selling mainly clothing like shirts, sarongs, and all kinds of fabric.

Bargain hard, just half the price and keep going up from there.

 

The art market opens from 09:00 am – 17:00.
