Ho Chi Minh Nightlife – Clubs, Bars Clubs and Lounges. District 1 is the place to go for most of the night fun. You have at least 15 popular nightclubs, 30 karaokes, and twice as many beer bars. If you go in other districts, you will discover there are hundred more.
Most likely, you will have to buy at least one bottle of alcohol as they won’t sell drinks by glass. For this reason, it is best to come with a small group. The bouncers and waiters might offer you the company of ladies/hostesses.

Lush – District 1
Lush is probably the city’s most famous nightclub among foreigners. It is known to be a good pick-up place for both girls and guys. In particular, their ladies night every Tuesday is one of Saigon’s best events for single people.
Apocalypse Now Saigon is a bar rather than a club, so it would be unfair for me to compare it with venues such as Lush and Fuse. What makes Apocalypse Now so good is that you can come here practically any night and you’re guaranteed to run into a bunch of friendly locals or tourists.
The place is heavily visited by overseas visitors and expats so you’ll probably run into at least a few of friends from your homeland here, although there are also heaps of locals as well who love to party.
Fuse Club
The club started in 2009 and still going strong. You have to come early here on Friday and Saturday. The clubs usually close by 2:00 AM. Sometimes early if authorities deem find fit.
Blaring techno and dance music envelopes the dance floor as large fruit platters and bottles of whiskey and cognac are consumed. A lack of space means this place gets packed easily, especially on the weekends, so look to arrive relatively early to grab a table. Even better, book in advance.
The decor is ornate and decadent with lots of drapes and plush lounge chairs spread out like thrones, and plenty of criminally pretty girls sitting on them who would like to be queen. Sin Lounge in Ho Chi Minh is located on the ground floor of The Lancaster Building condominium on Le Thanh Ton, close to the Japanese quarter of District 1 in Ho Chi Minh.
Chill Skybar
One of the most exclusive rooftop bar in Saigon. On the 26th floor of the AB tower, it attracts an eclectic crowd of businessmen, socialites, tourists, expats and wealthy Vietnamese.
If you can afford it and if you can get past the strict door policy, it is a recommended place for a classy drink or a date. The music starts to get louder on weekends after 11:00 p.m. and you will have people dancing in the bar area until 2:00 a.m.
It is also a rooftop bar, located in the same building as Play nightclub. It combines all the best features of the venues mentioned above: great music, nicely designed open-air area, many single guys and girls looking to hook-up as well as generous, affordable drinks.
The Observatory Saigon – District 4
The current most happening place in Saigon with young and trendy expats, is rather low-class itself.. Both a bar and a nightclub, the Observatory is located next to the port and offer a nice view on the river.
The philosophy behind The Observatory is simple: to serve as a place where Saigon and its people can have access to quality underground techno, disco and house in a laidback, friendly and exciting atmosphere. It also has some signature crafted cocktails, fashioned by its charismatic and attentive staff.
It is a smart and stylish place in the heart of the city’s hotel district. Inside it’s peppered with comfy couches and has an urban, relaxed feel. The music is mostly smooth lounge tunes and not so loud that you have to shout to have a conversation. Cocktails are excellent, some of the best in the city.
The Bar is well stocked and the staff know what they’re doing. It’s the perfect place to unwind if the frenetic pace of city gets too much for you.
