The travel packages for Thailand are usually 4 nights 5 Days. In which 2 days you spend in Pattaya and 2 days in Bangkok. The itinerary is pretty rushed as the time is less. When you come back from the trip you feel sloshed. We at mastyatri.com make a customized itinerary for a smoother travel experience. However, the hordes of pre-packed travel packages rule the market. When you customize a travel package you are in control of the itinerary. You will also realize the cheap package you were about to buy suddenly became expensive. As the package says `pre packed’ you are not given choices. If you make changes in the package the cost dramatically goes high. In this blog, we are giving you a perfect one week in Thailand itinerary for free.
Now, you possibly cannot cover and see all the things Thailand has to offer in one go. This itinerary is for the first-timers to Thailand. I have suggested some extra activities which you can flip or keep in mind for the next tour. Yes, you will be coming back as there is so much to see. The itinerary is for two days in Pattaya, two days in Hua Hin, and three days in Bangkok. You can do this in reverse too, Bangkok-Hua Hin-Pattaya.

You will be landing in the morning at Bangkok Airport. You will be heading to Pattaya once you are through immigration. It doesn’t matter you land at the Suvarnabhumi Airport or the Don Mueang Airport. The distance to Pattaya is more or less the same. Your check-in time at the hotel is two o’clock in the afternoon. This is one of the reasons you will see Sriracha Tiger Zoo in your itinerary. In this tour/activity, you are served breakfast and you spend time at the zoo till your check-in time. I would not recommend this tour rather take chances with an early check-in with the hotel. To know all about early check-in read here. Even if you don’t get a check-in dumb your luggage at the reception and head towards the beach. The hotel allows you to keep the luggage, so don’t worry.

Activities on Day 3
Do a city tour of Hua Hin and discover the attractions of the city. The tour would be more than half a day activity. Keep your evening time for the beach festivities.
Activities on Day 4
You can choose to go to any of these water parks the Vana Nava Water Park Hua Hin or Black Mountain Water Park. You will be spending most of the day time there. The nightlife of Hua Hin is in the Bintabaht area. It has the usual brewpubs, beer bars, nightclubs, and restaurants.
For a Perfect One Week in Thailand, here is another way of spending a chilled out day at Hua Hin. You can go to the Cha Am beach and enjoy the pony ride. Not only that you can do kite surfing, scuba diving, ATV, Paintball, and all the water sports. The nearby luxury hotels also provide a world-class spa experience. For the evening go to the Plern Wan shopping village. It is an open-air mall with an open-screen theatre. The architecture gives you a museum feel of the 1950s.
The ride to Bangkok by taxi is just two and a half hours. You can choose to see the Grand temple before going to the hotel. You can also first check in into your hotel and check out the malls of Bangkok. Now, do keep in mind that on your last day in Bangkok you just have half a day. That too if your flight is at night time. I will be telling you the activities as per the evening flight.
Activities on Day 5
Bangkok malls are a sight to see and are world-class. Each mall has its uniqueness and is a must-go. I have put the top five malls in Bangkok here. Now no tour operator will take you there so you have to do it yourself. To make things easier for you I am sending you to a place where there is a complex of malls. You reach one and you can see all. Not only that there are so many things within walking distance you need two days to see all. This tip is exclusively shared by mastyatri.com. This is going to be a high octane day for you so charge your energy to full. Now, once you check in heads straight away to MBK Center.
Whether you are with family or solo I would say take the sky train to reach MBK. The metro station is the MBK mall, train somewhat stops inside the MBK mall. The MBK Center is also surrounded by other four big malls. Opposite the MBK is the Central World and next to it is the BIG C Supermarket. Opposite Central mall is the Platinum Fashion Mall. If you cross the road from Platinum Mall you will reach the Pratunam Market. This is a wholesale market and is famous for clothes.
This tour starts early and is 3-4 hours in duration. For a Perfect One Week in Thailand, these are the most sacred temples/palace of Thailand. They are in one compound but you will be clicking a lot of pictures. Remember, no shorts, no sleeveless tops, and no slippers. This implies for both men and women. It is also a good idea to take a massage in Grand Palace or Wat Pho.
Wat Prakeaw (The Temple of Emerald Buddha)
Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha)
You will be free by noon. Now, if you love nature you can check out Lumphini Park. The distance is just 2.2 km. In this area do visit the Jim Thompson’s House Siam. It is an architectural marvel and must-see. Now, the main reason I want you to stick around this area is that you are very close to the Chao Phraya River. I want you to explore the attractions near the Chao Phraya River. These attractions give you a visual treat in the evening only.

On day three in Bangkok, you need to pack your bags and keep them ready. Your check-out time would be noon. But don’t worry you should complete the check-out formalities in the morning itself. Always remember, you can keep the luggage in the hotel lobby. Inform the hotel when you will return and you are all sorted with the luggage. You should also know most of the big malls do provide space to keep your luggage for some cost. That is if you plan to go more shopping. You have to keep in mind that you have to reach the airport three hours before your departure time.
Safari world is an attraction you can cover on your last day. It starts at 9:00 AM. Do consult your travel agent and let them know the time of your departure. The Safari World tour takes 3-4 hours minus the travel time. You can also ask your tour operator if you can carry your luggage with you. This way once you finish you can go straight to the airport. Do remember, if you are short on time take the metro, it takes you directly inside the airport.
Though you still have the rest of Thailand to see, places like Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Krabi are a must-do. However, you need a higher budget for that. If you plan to do a short trip to Bangkok and Pattaya again, do note, there is plenty to see. You have only seen half of Pattaya and only twenty-five percent of Bangkok attractions with the above itinerary. Check out the links below for the top five in various categories.
